Every student should
be successful in school, but that doesn’t always happen. Some children need
extra help. Getting the right help to the right students at the right time
has finally gotten easier. The federal law, “No Child Left Behind” (NCLB),
provides help for the very students who need it the most in their “core”
academic subjects: English Language Arts (reading, writing, listening,
speaking); mathematics.
The government calls
this special help “No Child Left Behind-Supplemental Educational Services” (NCLB-SES).

What
curriculum is used by Supreme Evaluation, Inc.?
Supreme Evaluation, Inc. has determined that the best way to provide
SES services is to base its tutorial interventions on the New York City and
State education standards by selecting a wide may of materials to meet the
needs and interests of participating students. Our teachers know the scope
and sequence of instruction being used during the school day and use the SES
program to focus extra help where students need it so that they can
experience success both in SES sessions and during the regular school day.
The continuity of using the same curriculum provides students the most sold
base for making gains. When parents consent, Supreme Evaluation, Inc.
communicates directly with each student's regular classroom teacher so that
they can share insights, successful strategies and observations which will
further each student's educational experience.

How does Supreme Evaluation, Inc. keep parents informed about the SES
program?
When students begin the SES program, Supreme Evaluation, Inc., makes
its own assessment of each student's and learning needs. Additionally,
whenever permitted, we also collect and analyze all relevant information
about a student's classroom performance. We also discuss the student's
learning profile and the interventions we are proposing with the family. The
result of these efforts is an individualized written student plan of what
will be focused on during SES sessions, the approach to be used and how
progress will be measured. Periodically through out, the SES program,
Supreme Evaluation, Inc. shares progress update information with families
and the school district with which we are contracting.

How the way in which Supreme Evaluation, Inc. works insures each individual
child of the specialized and personal attention they deserve?
The basis of our program is our intensive small group tutorial
interventions led by fully qualified teachers. Students are grouped by
abilities and needs. With our groups having no more than 6-7 students, and
frequently even fewer than that, staff and students can
interact in a very focused and carefully
crafted manner. Many students blossom in a small group format after
having been lost in a large class during the day. Supreme Evaluation, Inc.,
under certain circumstances, could also do individual SES interventions, but
most students perform best in our very small groups because of the
significant attention from qualified teachers and the opportunities for
student-to-student learning and sharing experiences.

Does Supreme Evaluation, Inc.'s SES program work with students with
disabilities and/or limited English proficiency?
Given the corporate experience that Supreme Evaluation Inc. has with
the disabled and students who are English language learners, we bring not
only a unique level of desire to see these specialized populations succeed
in our SES program, we also have the knowledge about proven interventions
and methods which can facilitate the learning of students with these
particular challenges.

How does Supreme Evaluation, Inc. insure that they utilize highly qualified
personnel?
The quality of instruction in an
SES program is intrinsically linked to the qualifications of the
instructors. While federal law does not require that all SES instructors be
certified teachers, Supreme Evaluation, Inc. is committed to exclusively
using appropriately certified teachers. Our teachers are well experienced
and further screened for their individual effectiveness with students
dealing with learning challenges. We also do background checks on personnel
to safeguard our students. Supreme Evaluation Inc. knows that good teachers
who are both well-supplied and appropriately supported by
qualified supervisors can help students
to succeed. Our program's design and small group format lets our
excellent staff concentrate on the only truly important element in SES - the
individual students. We are justifiably proud of our SES teaching staff.
Their skills, abilities, and dedication have allowed the SES program of
Supreme Evaluation, Inc. to achieve and
document significant levels of positive student outcomes from SES program
participation. In the final analysis, our
teachers are our program; learning and mastery for struggling
students only happens with great teaching.
